Doug, Cynthia, and Kristen Drazen

Douglas Walter Drazen was born October 6, 1960 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton, New York.

He was educated in the Binghamton City School District, and went on to study history at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, where he earned an Associate of Arts degree in April 1984, and a Bachelor of Arts in May 1985. In recognition of conspicuous attainments and scholarship in the study of history, he was conferred membership in the Gamma-Eta chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, by its International Council on November 17, 1983.

His post-graduate education was at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City, where he earned a Juris Doctorate in June 1988, and was named the Stephan Siegal Research Scholar in 1987, as well as being elected Student Body President that same year. He also completed the Intensive Trial Advocacy Program conducted by noted trial counsel Barry Scheck, Esq. in January 1988.

He was admitted to the New York bar in 1989, and has been a sole general practitioner since then.

He is married with one child.
